inches (or feet) of slack, and the platform may then fall until the slack is used up or
until the anti-fall device engages and stops the platform. Either conditions is
undesirable.
Therefore do the following:
1) Adjust the top three bolts on the back of the platform collar so that they (the bolts
and the nuts) may be rotated by just with finger pressure.
2) Adjust the single bolt on the back, near the bottom of the collar so that side to
side wobble is acceptable and the unit descends smoothly with no weight on the
platform. A good way to accomplish this is to loosen the bottom bolt until it can
barely be turned by finger pressure. Then run the platform up and down several
times, tightening the nut half a turn each time, until the platform will not come
down under its own weight. Then loosen the nut a quarter turn until the platform
can again descend under its own weight.
It is better to be too loose than too tight.
Adjusting these bolts in this manner will minimize side-to-side wobble while
allowing the platform to move freely.
OPERATING PRECAUTIONS
Although covered in the Warnings Section previously, a few safety precautions are
worth repeating:
● Ensure that you have stability on the lift platform before setting the
platform in motion.
●
Make sure no items such as clothing, umbrellas, canes, hair, etc. can be
become tangled with the moving portions of the lift.
●
Pay particular attention that no persons or objects are in the path of
the lift platform.
●
Do not exceed the maximum lift capacity of 500 lbs. unless customized
to 750 lbs. or indicated otherwise on the lift itself.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE: If your lift is equipped with multiple wireless control buttons, be aware
these devices work over a 50-foot radius. Always unplug your lift before
cleaning or maintaining it to prevent someone inadvertently using a call
button to activate the lift and accidently causing injury or death.
