BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
1. Just before attaching the receptacle to the trunk, trim ¼ to ½ inch off the base of the tree. This will allow
water to freely enter the trunk through open pores. The fresh cut surface should appear milky white.
2. Place the Swivel Straight® Stand on a solid, flat, level surface where you wish to display your tree.
3. Open the door that conceals the foot pedal and pull the pedal all the way out. You will feel a slight
click when the pedal is in the proper position.

1. Antes de intentar fijar el receptáculo al tronco, poda el árbol de 0,63 cm a 1,27 cm desde su base.

ASSEMBLING THE RECEPTACLE
NOTE: Only three screw tips will be used for the receptacle assembly.
Remove screw tips and tightening tool from plastic bag. Detach screw tips from plastic holder. To install bolts into the receptacle,
start by screwing them one by one into the holes at the top of the receptacle. Screw each bolt in only about half way into the
center of the receptacle. Next, take one of the screw tips and place it into the tightening tool. Take the tightening tool with the
screw tip securely inside to the end of one of the bolts in the receptacle. Twist the tool counterclockwise to secure the screw
tip onto the bolt. Repeat this step for the other 2 bolts.
We suggest you keep the tightening tool for future use.
ENSAMBLAR EL RECEPTÁCULO
Nota: En el ensamblaje del receptáculo sólo utilizaremos las puntas de tres tornillos.
Saca las puntas de tornillo y la herramienta de ajustes de la bolsa plástica. Saca las puntas de tornillo del soporte plástico.
Empieza por atornillar los pernos en el receptáculo, uno a uno, en los orificios superiores del mismo. Atornilla cada perno
sólo hasta la mitad del centro del receptáculo. Luego, toma una de las puntas de tornillo y colócala en la herramienta de
ajustes. En el extremo de uno de los pernos en el receptáculo, pon la herramienta mencionada con la punta de tornillo
colocada dentro de manera segura. Gira la herramienta a la izquierda para fijar la punta de tornillo en el perno. Repite
este paso para los otros dos pernos.
Te recomendamos guardar la herramienta de ajuste por si la necesitas en un futuro.
ASSEMBLAGE DU BAC
Remarque: Seulement trois écrous borgnes seront nécessaires pour assembler le bac.
Retirez les écrous borgnes et le papillon de serrage du sac plastique. Détachez chaque écrou borgne du support en plastique.
Pour installer les boulons dans le réceptacle commencez par les visser un par un en haut du réceptacle. Vissez les sur environ
la moitié de l'épaisseur du réceptacle. Ensuite, choisissez un des écrous borgnes et placez-le dans le papillon de serrage.
Appliquez le papillon de serrage avec un écrou borgne bien enfile dedans sur l'extrémité de l'un des boulons dans le réceptacle.
Vissez le papillon de serrage dans le sens antihoraire pour fixer l'écrou borgne sur le boulon. Répétez cette étape pour les 2 autres boulons.
Nous vous recommandons de garder le papillon de serrage sous la main car vous vous en resservirez plus tard.
ATTACHING THE RECEPTACLE
1. Hold the bottom of the trunk receptacle with one hand and slide it onto the tree trunk.
2. Position the trunk receptacle so that the trunk of the tree is wedged into the bottom of the trunk receptacle.
Insert the tree trunk as straight and as deep as possible.
3. Remove any branches that interfere with the trunk receptacle.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to keep a firm hold on the receptacle while wedging the tree trunk against
the bottom of it. Once the trunk is firmly wedged against the bottom of the receptacle, start to
tighten each of the bolts a little at the time. Continue to tighten the bolts until the screw tips on
each bolt penetrate the tree and the receptacle is firmly attached. When attaching the receptacle
to the tree trunk, the trunk should be in the receptacle as deep as possible with no branches
interfering with the top edge of the receptacle.
NOTE: Larger diameter trees may need to be tapered at the bottom to ensure a proper fit.
INSTALAR LE RECEPTÁCULO
1. Sujeta el fondo del receptáculo con una mano y deslízalo sobre el tronco.
2. Coloca el receptáculo de manera que el tronco del árbol encaje en el fondo del mismo.
Inserta el tronco hasta donde puedas, lo más derecho posible.
3. Corta las ramas que impidan la colocación del receptáculo.
IMPORTANTE: Asegúrate de sujetar firmemente el receptáculo cuando insertes el tronco del árbol contra el fondo
del mismo. Una vez que el tronco este firmemente insertado en el receptáculo, aprieta cada uno de los pernos poco
a poco. Continúa apretando los pernos hasta que las puntas de tornillo en cada perno se encajen en el árbol y el
receptáculo quede fijo firmemente. Cuando ejecutes el paso anterior, el tronco debe encajarse lo más profundo
posible, sin ramas que frenen el avance del borde superior del receptáculo.
NOTA: El extremo inferior de los árboles con un diámetro mayor debe afilarse para garantizar un ajuste perfecto.
ATTACHER LE BAC DE RECÉPTION
1. Prendre le bac d'une main par le fond, puis l'enfiler sur le tronc de l'arbre.
2. Positionner le bac de façon que le tronc soit bien enfonce dans le fond du bac.
Insérer le tronc aussi droit et aussi profondément que possible.
3. Retirer toute branche pouvant gêner l'installation du bac.
IMPORTANT : Veillez à bien tenir le réceptacle pendant que vous y enfoncez le tronc de l'arbre tout au fond.
Une fois que le tronc est bien calé au fond du réceptacle, commencez à serrer un peu chaque boulon à tour
de rôle. Continuez à serrer les boulons jusqu'à ce que les écrous borgnes de chaque boulon pénètrent dans
l'arbre et que le réceptacle soit solidement attaché. Lorsque vous attachez le bac au tronc, ce dernier doit être
calé aussi profondément que possible au fond du bac, en veillant à ce qu'aucune branche ne vienne bloquer
le bord supérieur du bac.
REMARQUE : II se peut que les arbres de plus grand diamètre aient besoin d'être amincis à la base pour être bien ajustés.
