layered packing compressed by a gland with bolts. The gland on the delivered valve is loose and must be
tightened before installation. The knife gate valve body is a monolithic panel design. The gate knife clears
the body by turning the hand wheel (assisted with a driving gear from the size of DN500 to DN1000) which
drives the outer spindle held by a nut. The knife gate valves are two-way, permitting flow in both directions.
The top part of the body features tapped holes; the bottom part of the body features ports for connection
between flange ends. Table 4 shows the bolt sizing for flange ends (PN10 bolt hole layout).
