BARCOD E SCAN N I N G D EM ON STRATI ON SET- UP
1.
Tap t he hom e but t on, and t ap t he Janam icon.
2.
Tap t he barcode scanner dem o ( applicat ion m enu) in t he upper left corner of t he screen t o display t he set up
opt ions.
3.
Three m enus will appear ( set up, OCR, opt ions) .
4.
Aft er st art ing t he dem o applicat ion, a variet y of opt ions becom e available:

Beep sound: you can enable or disable t he sound whenever a successful barcode or opt ional charact er
recognit ion ( OCR) occurs.
Not e: you can cont rol t he volum e of t he sound from t he prefs applicat ion locat ed in hom e or m ain m enu. I n
t he upper right corner 's drop- down m enu, click and select general t o change t he volum e.

Light m ode: This m enu present s several opt ions. You can t urn off t he illum inat ion and aim er; t urn t he aim er
only on; t urn on t he illum inat ion only; or t urn on bot h aim er and illum inat ion.

Bar t ype: Display only – shows t he sym bology of t he barcode scanned.
»
Bar dat a: Display only – shows t he result of t he decoded obj ect .

Tap t he hardware t est opt ion t o review all t he funct ions of t he scanner and det erm ine if everyt hing is working
properly. Select each it em individually ( aim er on, illum inat ion on, vibrat or on, red LED on, green LED on, beeper
on, keypad backlight on) t o verify t hat all hardware is working properly.

Tap OK t o ret urn t o t he m ain dem o.

Tap opt ions > sym bology confi g.
8.
Tap enable all t o let t he scanner decide t he best m et hod of decoding t he barcode.
9.
Tap OK t o ret urn t o t he m ain dem onst rat ion screen.
10. Point t he scanner at a barcode, and press any of t he t hree barcode scan but t ons on t he device ( left / right t rigger
or cent er scan but t on) . The result s will display aft er you achieve a successful scan.
