MAINTENANCE & STORAGE
• Remove the Oval Stiff Ring regularly to rinse the cuff seal and/or glove from salt or debris.
• Remove the Oval Stiff Ring if the drysuit shall be stored for prolonged periods. Doing this
will decrease stress on the PU-Ring. Long periods of stress on the PU-Ring might result in
leakage or other damage to the system.
• Avoid exposing the PU-Ring to heat or sunlight. Subjecting the assembled unit to
prolonged heat or sunlight with an inserted cuff seal is not recommended. The PU-material
may expand, which could cause leakage.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• A cuff seal provides the seal for the system and must be used at all times, even when the
assembly is used in combination with a dry glove system.
• A minimum seal thickness of 0.8mm is recommended. Use of a thinner seal may cause
leakage.
• Test the strength and seal integrity before diving.
A NOTE REGARDING SILICONE SEALS
• Even though silicone seals are better in many ways than regular latex seals, they still must
be handled with care.
• Even if silicone seals have more stretch than latex seals, do not stretch the seal more than
required. Assist yourself with a free hand when pulling the seals over your head or hands,
both for the seal and your comfort. Use a product such as talcum, on a regular basis, to
minimize frictional strain on the seal and for personal comfort.
• Avoid contact with sharp objects like finger nails or rings when handling seals.
• When trimming seals, use sharp scissors. Cut edges should be as smooth and straight as
possible. Do not trim across trim lines.
