3.0INSTALLING PERIPHERALS

Mounting peripheral devices in your computer is simply a matter of attaching plastic rails
to the side of the peripheral and sliding the device into its mounting position. The 6-slot
chassis has mounting locations for 12 half-height (or six full-height) 5-1/4" peripherals.
The 10-slot chassis has mounting locations for 24 half-height (or 12 full-height) 5-1/4"
peripherals. The front door on both the 6 and 10-slot computers has a cutout which
allows access to peripheral devices using removable media. This cutout will
accommodate up to four 5-1/4" half-height peripherals.
The following illustration shows the peripheral mounting area for your computer with the
slots numbered 1 through 12. Note that the 10-slot chassis has two vertical rows of
peripheral mounting slots.
