The battery has a natural self-discharge. When stored in a state not fully charged, the
transponder is discharged after approximately 6 months and must be recharged. If the
transponder is completely discharged, the integrated battery may be damaged.
To charge, insert the transponder fully in a charging bay of the charging station. The front
of the transponder must face away from the side of the cable guide. The start and status
of the charging process are signaled via the LED display on the transponder. A full charging
process takes approximately 8.5 hours. To ensure correct operation of all 10 charging bays
and to avoid damage to the transponders, only use the power supply unit provided with the
charging station.
