Installing the Cisco PRE5 Module in the Chassis
Before you begin
• Ensure that you are properly grounded with an ESD-preventive wrist strap.
• Inspect the connectors for any bent or broken pins. Bent or broken pins can cause a system malfunction.
Procedure
Step 1
Ensure that the ejector levers on the PRE5 are at the fully-open position.

Step 2
Grasp the faceplate of the new PRE with one hand and place your other hand under the module (to support the weight of
the module) and position the module in front of the card slot.
