Install Software

Windows
Your computer may come with the EPSON
the hard drive. Make sure the printer is still turned on, then turn on your computer.
If you see this screen...
Your software is already installed. Click OK.
You're ready to start printing!
If you see this screen...
Click Cancel. Then follow the steps below
to install printer software:

When you see the Windows icons on your monitor,
put the EPSON CD-ROM in your CD-ROM
or DVD drive.
Double-click

EPSON CD-ROM icon, then double-click
the
EPSON icon.

Read the license agreement and click Agree.
At the main menu, click Install Printer Driver.

The printer files install.

If you see a screen asking you to turn on
your printer, press and hold the printer's
Power button until it lights up, then
release it. More printer files install.

When you see the EPSON Registration screen,
register your printer as instructed.
At the last installation screen, click OK and

close any open windows.

Restart your computer. You're ready to start printing!
Macintosh

Make sure your printer is still turned on,
then turn on your Macintosh.

When you see your Macintosh icons, put the
EPSON CD-ROM in your CD-ROM or DVD drive.

At the Main Menu, click Install Printer Driver.

At the installer screen, click Install;
then click Continue on the next screen. The printer files install.

Select your default paper size, then click Restart.

After your Macintosh restarts, you see the EPSON Registration screen.
Register your printer as instructed.

Open the Chooser, click the C40 Series icon, click your USB port,
and turn on background printing.

Close the Chooser. You're ready to start printing!
