Installation

Wall Mounting the SBV5322

If you mount your SBV5322 on the wall, you must:

•

Locate the unit as specified by the local or national codes governing residential or

business cable TV and communications services.

•

Follow all local standards for installing a network interface unit/network interface device

(NIU/NID).

When using the wall mount on drywall or similar material, use anchors for added stability.

To mount your SBV5322 on the wall:

If present, remove the four rubber chassis feet on the bottom of the SBV5322.

Print the

"Wall Mounting Template"

template with a ruler to ensure that it is the correct size as indicated on the template.

Use a center punch to mark the center of the holes.

On the wall, locate the marks for the mounting holes.

Caution

Before drilling holes, check the structure for potential damage to water,

gas, or electric lines.

See step 7 for recommended mounting hardware size. Drill holes to a depth and

diameter appropriate for the size and type of hardware you have selected.

If necessary, install an anchor in each hole.

Use M4 x 38 mm (#8 x 1 1/2 inch) screws with a flat underside and maximum screw

head diameter of 9.0 mm (0.35 inches) to mount the SBV5322.
