OPERATION
1.

PLAY key © once more
will have the player select a track at random for
playback.
To cancel random playback operation
[STOP]
or
[EJECT
® Press the STOP key @® or the EJECT key (1). Playback will stop
and random playback operation will be cancelled simultaneously.
@ Performing operations for playback from a direct disc search will
also cancel random playback.
TO PLAYBACK TRACKS IN A DESIRED ORDER
(PROGRAMMED
PLAYBACK)
@ With this function, you can play back the tracks on the discs
in the magazine in any order desired.
® By specifying disc numbers from 1 to 6, and track numbers from
1 to 99, you can select up to 32 steps for playback in any order
you like.
Memorizing a program
1.
During stop mode, specify a disc with a DISC
NUMBER key (8) and a track with TRACK SEARCH
keys (0).
2.
Press the PROGRAM
MEMORY
key ©).
If the PROGRAM MEMORY key @) is pressed after a disc num-
ber only has been specified, all tracks on the disc will be ad-
ded to the program.
3.
Repeat procedures 1 and 2.
Repeat operations 1 and 2 for each track you want to be memo-
rized, in the order in which you want the tracks to be played.
The player can memorize up to 32 steps.
Each time you program a step, the indicator will display the pro-
gram step and the programmed disc number and track number.
The figure below shows the display when the fifth track on the se-
cond disc is programmed as step 1.

The PROGRAM
indicator will light.
Playback start
1.
Press PLAY key ( to start playing in programmed
order.
2.
Play ends.
When the last programmed track ends, the player goes to stop
mode at the first programmed track position.
The disc returns to the magazine.
Cancellation of programmed playback and clearing
a program:
® Pressing the STOP key @ will cause playback to stop. In this
case the program stored in memory will not be cleared. To clear
the program, press the STOP key (2 once more.
® Press the EJECT key (i). When pressed during playback, the
magazine will eject, and the program will be cleared.
® Carrying out operations for playback from a direct disc search
will cause the program to be cleared.
® During programmed playback, if the PROGRAM
CLEAR key @
is pressed, the program will be cancelled and playback will con-
tinue in normal mode.
Operation examples
To playback the fifth track on the second disc, the third track on
the fifth disc, and all of the third disc in that order:
