PAPER SELECTION GUIDELINES
UNCOATED PAPER
– The recommended paper is Xerox Color Xpressions 24
lb. (smooth, bright, white paper). This bond-grade paper
is specifically designed to deliver the specified image
quality and machine performance over the recommended
range of environmental conditions. Equivalent papers
should have similar performance.
– The recommended 110 lb. index paper or equivalent can
be run satisfactorily from the MSI. However, image
quality and performance will not match the performance
of Xerox Color Xpressions 24 lb. paper or equivalent
papers. Image mottle may occur when printing on index
or cover stocks that are rough and/or have poor
formation.
Image Mottle-Uncoated Paper
110 lb. index
To meet image quality requirements on
stocks between 60 lb. cover and 110 lb.
60 lb. cover
index (160 and 220 gsm), it may be
necessary to use coated cover stocks or
premium smooth uncoated cover stocks.
