Character Brightness, Background Brightness and Transparency

The brightness sliders are used to adjust the brightness of both the Character (foreground) and the

Background of the inserted data. The Character Brightness only affects the brightness level if grayscale is

selected as foreground color.

The Transparency slider is used to adjust the transparency of both the character (foreground) and the

background of the inserted data. The transparency is adjusted in increments of 10%.

12 Hour Display

This turns the 12 hour display mode On or Off.

6.3 Main Settings

Input Read Mode

The Input Read Mode allows the user to set the time code that the HD-266/SD is reading. The

HD-266/SD can read SMPTE/EBU LTC, RP188, DVITC or ESE Time/Timer code.

SMPTE Date Mode

If the HD-266/SD is reading SMPTE/EBU LTC, the user should select the format of the date data. The

user can select No Date, Leitch Format (Format-L), ESE Format (Format-E) or SMPTE 309M format.

Date Display Mode

The Date Display Mode allows the user to select how the date is displayed on video. The user can select

YY-MM-DD, DD-MM-YY or MM-DD-YY.

DVITC Read Line

The DVITC Read Line selects the line number of the DVITC time code on the incoming video stream.

Time Zone

The Time Zone allows the user to select a time zone offset from the incoming time code.

6.4 Update Firmware

The update firmware tab allows the user to update the firmware of the HD-266/SD. Click the Browse

button to select the update file. Click the Update File button to upload the new firmware. The LCD

displays Booting... while the firmware is being updated.

If the user is updating the firmware for a multi-channel unit, the firmware for each channel should be

updated. The front panel USB connector allows the user to update the firmware for the first channel.

Recessed USB connectors are provided for the other channels. The front panel needs to be removed in

order to access the recessed USB connectors. The firmware update should be applied to each channel.
