Instruction manual for the DMS-20 micro twin transmitter
+ Voltage monitor DIS-10
(RSW883T2-A)
Intended Use:
Twin-Sender: the DMS-20 is connected to a standard light switch and turns it into a radio
transmitter.Every mechanical switch becomes a radio transmitter!
After you have programmed the receiver, the transmitter will send a signal to the receiver when you
press the wall switch. This signal is then used to turn the connected device on and off.
Voltage monitor DIS-10: An insulated core of a 230V electrical cable is routed through the ring
magnet of the DIS-10. This allows the DIS-10 to recognize whether the voltage is switched on or off.
It then sends an "ON" radio signal when voltage is detected and a radio "OFF" signal when voltage is
lost to a matching receiver of a DIW radio system.
The products are powered by a 3 V lithium battery (type: CR2477)
Use only indoors, not outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in the bathroom etc. is to be avoided.
It is imperative that you observe the safety measures listed below during installation and
operation.
The DMS-20 or DIS-10 sends an "ON" and "OFF" signal via the function key
• Briefly press the function key (1), you will see the LED flashing blue for approx. 3 seconds. An ON
signal (blue) is now sent.
• If you press the button again briefly, you will see the LED flashing red for approx. 3 seconds. An OFF
signal (red) is now sent.
When a receiver is in learn mode, the ON signal is also sent to learn and the OFF signal to erase a
code.
Connection and installation of twin transmitter DMS-20
• Choose a suitable, dry and undisturbed installation location where you want
to install the product.
• Connect the radio transmitter to the switched contacts of a normal wall switch
as shown in the illustration. The wall switch should be a bistable switch
(ON/OFF rocker switch). A wall switch opens or closes the circuit of the two
cables when actuated.
• The second pair of cables can be connected in the same way to a second
switch for another DIW radio receiver.
When connecting the product to wall switches already installed, remove all otherwise connected live
conductors. The DMS-20 may only be connected to dead wall switches.
Connection and installation of voltage monitor DIS-10
• Usually mount the switch in a flush-mounted box where you want to monitor
the presence of a 230V voltage, for example behind a light switch. Feed the
jumper wire through the ring magnet of the voltage monitor. In normal
operation, the product detects whether or not there is voltage in the
monitored line, e.g. of the light switch. If the voltage is applied or switched off
again, this is detected.
• The radio transmitter sends an "ON" signal to the receiver when
Voltage in the conductor is switched on and an "OFF" signal when the
voltage in the conductor disappears.
• The consumer connected to the receiver will switch on or off accordingly.
Teaching the DMS-20 or DIS-10 to a radio receiver
• Now connect the connecting wires to any de-energized light switch as shown in the illustration.
(RSW883T1-B)
Switch the wall transmitter ON and OFF until the red LED flashes.
• Put the receiver you want to be taught into the teach-in mode according to the description of the
receiver.
• If the teach-in mode is now activated on the receiver, toggle the light switch. Now the blue LED will
flash for 3 seconds, which means the transmitter is sending an ON signal to the receiver. The
receiver recognizes this, ends the teach-in mode and the transmission code is saved.
• Repeat the teach-in process in the same way for other receivers if necessary.
Deleting the transmission code on the receiver (applies to both models)
• If you no longer want a receiver to react to the transmitter, you can delete the
transmission code according to the receiver's operating instructions. The code is
stored on the receiver, the transmitter setting remains the same
• press the wall switch so that the LED (3) flashes blue.
• Put the receiver in learning mode (e.g. press the receiver's learning button for
3 seconds or switch it on (see receiver description) so that the receiver's LED
starts flashing.
• toggle the wall switch so that the LED (3) flashes red and then stops flashing,
the receiver LED stops flashing, the erasing process is complete.
Replacing the battery (applies to both models)
Replace the battery (CR2477) when the transmitter stops working or when you notice a significant
decrease in range as follows:
• Carefully separate the two halves of the housing with your fingernails or a screwdriver.
• The two halves of the housing are held together by small tabs. At least two of the three tabs must
be pressed to open the case. Be careful not to break the tabs when opening the case.
• Remove the used battery
• Insert a CR2477 battery with correct polarity. The positive pole (+) must be placed on the round
hole in the cover.
• Place the two halves of the case on the contacts of the circuit board (with the battery in the battery
compartment) and gently press them together until the tabs snap into place.
- Make sure all cables protruding from the transmitter are in the correct inlets and are not pinched.
