preparation for use
·
Remove all packaging elements and labels, but
not the rating plate.
·
Place the sandwich maker on a dry, non-slip,
level surface.
Before initial use
·
Read these operating instructions carefully
before using the appliance for the first time.
·
Clean the toasting surfaces with a moist cloth
before heating appliance the first time.
·
Grease the toasting surfaces before initial use;
subsequent greasing is not necessary, due to
the non-stick coating.
·
During the very first heating up the appliance
can cause slight smoke. After some minutes,
however, smoking will stop again.

The appliance meets the
requirements of the applicable
EC directives.
The appliance is intended for

The toasting surfaces of the
appliance become hot during
operation. please avoid touching
the metal parts.
Danger of being burned!

Never leave appliance unattended if it is in
operation.
·
Do not overfill the unit.
·
Use only wooden or heat-resistant plastic
utensils to remove the sandwiches in order
to prevent the non-stick coating from being
scratched.
·
Be careful when biting into finished sandwiches.
Fillings such as cheese or tomato are getting
very hot. Danger of being burned!

and before cleaning!
Operation
·
Prepare your toasts and stuffing.
·
Spread the outsides of the toasts with butter

to make them crispy and a golden brown.
·
Your sandwich maker is meant for 4 diagonally
divided sandwiches at once. You will need 8
slices of toast for one baking process.
·
Important: The bread/toast must be large
enough (e.g. American Sandwich Toasts) to
close the edges in the mould.
·
Important: Your sandwich maker is generally
meant for sandwiches with lots of filling. Thinly
filled sandwiches may not be baked properly
from above if they are not in contact with the
upper baking plate.
·
Nearly any form of bread can be used as long as
it fits the baking mould.
·
Plug the power plug into the wall socket.
CAUTION! The appliance is in
operation now and becomes hot.
·
The red light illuminates and the unit heats.
·
Always pre-heat the unit until the green light
illuminates nefore use.
·
Place the toast slices on the baking surface with
the buttered side down.
·
Now quickly top the toast slices with the desired
ingredients.
·
Place more toast slices on the filling.
·
Carefully close the lid until the grip latches.
·
Never try closing the lid with force. If the lid
does not close, the filling is too thick.
·
Toast the sandwiches for approx. 3 minutes,
depending on bread, filling and personal taste.
·
Your sandwich maker will toast both sides of the
sandwiches and close them.
·
You can perform several baking processes in
sequence.
·
Important: Both lamps will alternate in
operation to maintain the temperature.
·
Note: Do not use liquid ingredients such as
sauces, gravies and custards on their own or
in large amounts as they will overflow or make
the toast soggy. Always combine with solid
ingredients.
·
Always unplug appliance when not in use
anymore.
Cleaning
·
Always unplug appliance before cleaning.
·
Allow the unit to cool slightly.
·
The baking plates are coted with a non-stick
surface, therefore little cleaning is required.
·
Use a paper towel or a damp cloth to clean the
appliance while still warm.
·
Do not immerse the appliance in water.
·
Do not place the unit in a dishwasher.
·
Clean the housing with a damp cloth.
·
Do not use caustic cleaning agents, scouring
pads or similar.
·
TIp: Place two absorbent paper towels between
the baking surfaces and close the appliance.
Environmentally friendly disposal
We use only environmentally friendly packaging
for the transport of our appliances. Please
recycle cardboard/paper and plastic packaging
appropriately.
