Selecting SNOW exposure mode

Use SNOW exposure mode to extend dynamic range and

automatically detect both high and low abundance proteins at

the same time without saturation and with reduced noise.

1. After pre-capture, select the region of interest and background

2. Toggle Auto stop ON (recommended)

• Signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) improvement for image will be

visible in real time on the screen and exposure is stopped

automatically when optimum S/N is reached

Note The SNOW exposure option is available for both

detection modes.

Advanced settings

Binning: Default binning is pre-set. Use slider to increase or

•

decrease binning.

Fluorescence multiplex: Use for imaging additional fluor

•

channels along with chemi exposure (only available in Auto

and Manual exposure modes)

Capture area: Default capture area is pre-selected. Choose

•

other area if needed.

Colorimetric

1. Choose Gel documentation or OD measurement. If

OD measurement is selected, intensity is converted to

OD value and saved as a calibrated file.

Note For Gel documentation, use the black tray with white insert, and for OD measurement,

use the glass tray.

Fluorescence

1. Choose exposure type and select up to three channels.

Custom filters and dyes can be added if needed from

Settings menu.

Note Use black tray WITHOUT white insert for

available in lower tray position only.

Exiting the system

1. Click the

icon from the top right corner on the

Home screen

• Select Shut down to turn the instrument and PC off

completely (DO NOT press the power button to turn

system off)

• Minimize application gives you access to Windows

Return to control software from the taskbar when finished.

• Select Logout to leave the system ON but exit your account

and lock the system from unauthorized use
