Printer Management
The machine enables you to use any of the following software to check the status
and to specify the settings on your computer.
•
A web browser (Remote UI)
•
NetSpot Device Installer (Canon utility software included in the User Software CD)
•
NetSpot Console (via a web browser)
NOTE
The utility software of the NetSpot Console is not included in the User Software CD. To
use the NetSpot Console, please download it from the Canon website.
Printer Management Using a Web Browser (Remote UI)
You can use the built-in Remote UI (User Interface) to manage the machine
remotely using a web browser.
For instructions on how to start the Remote UI, see step 1 of "Settings Using a Web
Browser (Remote UI)," on p. 2-10. For instructions on how to use the Remote UI,
refer to Chapter 2, "Remote UI Functions," in the Remote UI Guide.
Printer Management Using NetSpot Device Installer
NetSpot Device Installer is utility software for specifying the initial settings of Canon
devices connected to a network. Available on the CD-ROM, NetSpot Device
Installer can be accessed directly without installation, enabling network users to
quickly and easily specify the initial settings of network devices.
For instructions on how to use NetSpot Device Installer, see the online help for
NetSpot Device Installer.
