Operating Your Behind The Ear
Hearing Instrument
Inserting The Battery
Insert one battery (size #13 or #675 depending on your hearing aid
model) by opening the battery compartment (3) and ensuring that the +
sign corresponds to the + sign on the battery compartment.
Switching On/Off
To switch the hearing aid off, move switch (4) to position O. Hearing
instruments not equipped with an MTO-switch are switched on/off by
closing or opening the battery compartment.
Xenon Plus & DIR Models
These instruments are equipped with a sequence switch (5). This switch
can be programmed by your hearing aid specialist as volume control
(only Xenon Plus) or as program selector. To change the program, raise
(Prog. +) or depress (Prog. -) the switch. You will hear one beep for
program one, two beeps for program two etc. Every time the hearing
aid is switched on, it will revert to program one.
To change the volume of any Plus aid, raise (louder) or depress (lower)
the switch. Changes are confirmed through an audible tone.
VC Models
These models have a rotary volume control in place of a switch (6). To
increase volume, rotate the wheel forward.
Krypton 32 & Xenon XS Models
These models are equipped with a program push-button. Each press of
the button will scroll though the pre-programmed hearing programs
available on the instrument.
