Instruct scanning to start from the software application.
IMPORTANT
• Set the [Page Size] to [Auto detection] when scanning in the Long Document mode.
• The document length that can be scanned in the Long Document mode depends
on the scan mode and resolution.

Auto Power Off
The scanner automatically turns off when scanning or another operation is not
performed for a certain time.
To setting this function, follow the procedure below.
A
Start Windows and log in as a user with administrator privileges.
B
Click the Start button, and then click [All Programs], [CANON CR-L1],
and [Canon imageFORMULA Utility].
imageFORMULA Utility starts.
C
Click [CANON CR-L1 USB] and click [Properties].
Scanner properties are displayed.
D
Click the [Maintenance] tab and then click [Turn off automatically after
4 hours] check box to change the setting.
E
Click [OK] to close the scanner properties.
