For optimum cooking, preheat the oven. Pre-heating is absolutely essential for grilling and dry frying. Pre-heating is
also beneficial for faster baking and roasling, providing quicker sealing/browning.
Cooking Time
Cooking times shown in the cook book will vary depending on the volume, weight, temperature and mass of the food
or the desired finish/crispness. Remember the most important thing is to cook to your satisfaction. Thaw meats to
room temperature before cooking them. If not, they will take longer to cook thoroughly.
Placing Food at Center

higher temperature, then reduce heat for best cooking of meats (beef, lamb, pork or veal).

cooking start time by several hours on a hot day can cause growth of bacteria which might lead to illnesses.

l Eggs can be put in without adding water. It takes anything from 8 minutes (soft boiled) to 10 minutes (hard boiled)
and you can cook as many as you like. If eggs were in a fridge add an extra 2 minutes at 250°C.
l Potatoes with the skin on must be spiked with a fork and placed in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Potatoes without
skin must also be spiked with the fork and cut in half or quarters, dipped in oil then placeed in the oven for 30 to 35
minutes. This is equally at 250°C.
DO nOT over load the oven with too many foods at once. allow air to flow all around your food so that it
can cook evenly on all sides.

the oven.
You can put metal materials/thick glass plates and oven dishes into the oven.
