7.4 REPLACING THE MECHANICAL SEAL
1) Insert component (A) (see Figure 3) into the seat of the
screw nut support with the tungsten carbide part facing outwards pushing it in;
2) Insert component (B) with the tungsten carbide part facing inwards,
so that the two tungsten carbide parts are in contact;
3) when installing the impeller be careful not to cut the rubber
of component (B) during compression of the spring.
7.5 REPLACING THE PUMP SHAFT
CENTRIFUGE
1) Remove the cover of the gearbox by loosening the relevant screws;
2) Remove the front cover "75" by removing the relevant screws;
3) loosen the screws that secure the support of the centrifugal pump to the gearbox;
4) act on the screws to remove the centrifugal pump and place it on the work bench;
5) remove the screw nut, along with the external flange, by extracting it from the support;
6) remove the impeller from the shaft of the centrifugal pump by loosening the self-locking nut;
7) remove the little key from the shaft;
8) Loosen the two brass nuts of the cord holder;
9) remove the front bearing of the shaft of the centrifugal pump;
10) remove the shaft to be replaced by beating the back with a buffer and a hammer until it comes out of the screw nut support;
11) remove the rear bearing from the shaft and replace it;
12) apply the rear bearing to the support;
13) insert the new shaft on the support by beating the front with a buffer and a hammer;
14) tighten the two brass nuts of the cord holder;
15) apply the key to the shaft and then the impeller;
16) tighten the self-locking nut;
17) attach the screw nut to the support, together with the external flange;
18) tighten the screws fastening the screw nut to the support;
19) apply the centrifugal pump to the gearbox and secure it with the relevant screws;
20) introduce the bearing on the shaft in the seat of the gearbox;
21) mount the cover "75" using the relevant fixing screws;
22) fit the cover of the gearbox using the relevant screws.
7.6 REPLACING THE IMPELLER
1) Remove the outer screw nut flange by loosening the relevant screws;
2) Remove the impeller by unscrewing the self-locking nut;
3) Secure the new impeller to the shaft;
4) Tighten the self-locking nut;
5) Attach the external screw nut flange;
6) Tighten the fixing screws of the external screw nut flange;
