Display test
● The display test is automatically carried out when proceeding the
test routine (as described above). The individual segments are
tested first digit by digit and then altogether. After completion of
the display test the next test (keypad test) can be proceeded utili-
zing key
, or the display test may be restarted using key
Keypad test
● Provided a key is ok relating to hardware, a negative sign will
appear at the right in the display when actuating the key (except
key
). As soon as the key is released the sign will disappear.
Since the key serves for ending the keypad test respectively for
proceeding to the next test it cannot be tested like the other
keys. This key is considered as tested by switching the counter to
the next test procedure.
Input test
● The input status (active or inactive) is visualized in the display by
the letters „A", „b", „c" and „d". A stands for track A, b= track
B, c= control input 1 and d=control input 2. An active input is
visualized by the respective letter in the display. An inactive input
is visualized by a blank (space).
In the following example all four inputs are active.
Output test
● The digital outputs P1 and P2 are activated utilizing the keys
and

the display will read "1" for output 1 respectively "2" for out-
put 2. If both outputs are active the display will read as follows:
Outputs P1, P2 active
Interface test
● This test is only available with devices featuring a serial interface.
The test is proceeded by pressing key
Test OK (P=Pass)
Test faulty (F=False)
Display: Software program number 01 (Hardware index 1)
„P 01" means program number 01.
