1.3 Panel Installation and Cable Routing

When installing fiber patch panels into the HYP-3048, care must be taken to ensure the

installation goes as smoothly as possible. We recommend making sure all rack items and

accessories are installed before beginning the installation of panels.

In general, in situations where the rear cables are routed upwards into overhead cable

management, it is highly recommended that panels be installed starting with the lowest panel

and moving upward.

Installing from the bottom up will make it easier to route the trunk cables in the rear of the rack.

It is recommended to install panels in the front and back at the same time (working from the

bottom, up) if both racks will be filled with panels.

If one rack is to be full of panels, and the other is to remain empty, we recommend leaving the

empty rack free of plates or chassis until the end of installation to make install on the first rack

easier.
