2.3 Grounding

1. Use a listed (approved) crimping tool to attach a listed (approved), dual-hole compression lug for
ground bolts onto ground wire. The grounding location is on the rear of the panel.
2. Lightly coat antioxidant on lug, ground terminal and surrounding contacting surface.
3. Insert the wire through the opening in the tie bar and connect the lug using the bolts and washers provided.
4. Tighten to 50 in/lb. (5.5 N•m), max.
5. Make sure input power is off (open breaker, phony fuse, open fuse holder at primary distribution panel, or PDU),
before connecting this panel's power input cables to that PDU.
WARNING! Before connecting input power cables, make sure the input power to the panel is turned off.

2.4 Input Wiring

1. For input wiring — wiring used as input power to this nrgCONTROL-BT panel — follow these steps:
Refer to Fig. 3
a. Remove the power connector from the rear of the panel.
b. Strip
3
/
-inch of insulation away from the wire used to power the controller.

c. Insert the wire into the connector and tighten the screw to hold the wire in place.
d. Repeat for each wire for the connector, paying attention to the positive and negative for each feed
(A and B).

2.5 Chassis Fuse Replacement

1. The nrgCONTROL-BT panel provides power to the connected PDU panels via the nrgNET cabling. The nrgNET
cabling power is protected by a 4A GMT fuse located on the rear panel of the nrgCONTROL-BT panel. To replace
this fuse, follow these steps:
Refer to Figures 3 and 6
a. Power down the nrgCONTROL-BT by turning off the upstream breaker or removing the -48V power feed
connector (see Figure 3) on the back of the nrgCONTROL-BT chassis.
b. Carefully remove the blown fuse on the back of the panel and discard (see Figure 6).
c. Replace the blown fuse with a 4A GMT fuse, making sure to install the fuse in the correct orientation
d. Turn power back on by switching on the upstream breaker or re-installing the -48V power feed connector.
