IMPORTANT
Make sure that the mains voltage matches the
voltage stated on the machines rating plate.
SWITCH
The switch ✪✌ on both of these tools are fitted
with a locking device, ✫✌ allowing the tool to be
operated for long periods of time without
interruptions. Fig.2.
Before inserting the plug into the socket, check
that the switch is in the unlocked position. When
the tool is not to be used for long periods
remember to leave the switch device in the
unlocked position.
SPEED CHANGE (RD550V ONLY)
This drill is equipped with two speeds. The two
different speeds are selected by rotating the
control knob, located on the upper part of the
machine. The markings "
indicate respectively the slow and fast speeds.
An arrow on the machine body indicates the
engaged speed.
This operation should be performed when the
machine is stopped.
SPEED REGULATOR (BOTH MODELS)
An electronic speed regulation system has been
fitted. Speed regulation is by means of the switch
✪✌ push button. By increasing the pressure on the
switch the rotation speed of the drill gradually
increases until the desired speed is reached.
The maximum speed is set by means of the
graduated knurled knob ✬✌ (-+), located on the
switch. ✪✌ (Fig.2).
PERCUSSION DRILLING SYSTEM (HD650VC
ONLY)
This drill can pass from normal drilling to
percussion drilling, simply by rotating the knob
fitted on top of the drill. It is possible to turn the
percussion system on and off, even whilst the
machine is running and without the risk of
causing damage to the mechanism.
Drilling position: Rotate the knob towards the
drill bit symbol.
Percussion drilling position: Rotate the knob
towards the hammer symbol.
CHANGING THE DIRECTION OF ROTATION
(HD650VC ONLY)
This model is equipped with a reverse selector
✮✌ in order to be able to rotate the machine
chuck either to the right or to the left. (Fig.2).
This operation should be performed when the
machine is stopped.
Because of this feature, the HD650VC drill can
also be used as a screwdriver.

SUPPLEMENTARY HANDGRIP
For reasons of safety, when working with this type
of electric power tool, the operator should always
use the adjustable handgrip.
In order to fit the handgrip on the drill, loosen the
threaded sleeve on the handgrip, turning in an
anticlockwise direction.
Slide the handgrip onto the drill collar, tilting it to
the desired angle; then tighten the sleeve until it
is securely attached to the machine.
To fit the depth stop, loosen the threaded sleeve
on the handgrip, turning in an anticlockwise
direction. Insert the depth stop into the adjustable
handgrip collar, and position for the correct
depth, then tighten the sleeve until it is secure.

exclusively indicated in this manual.
ANY OTHER USE OF THE TOOL IS EXPLICITY
FORBIDDEN.
