Operating Manual MPI-300

Application

Adapter f or the universal programming of the NCS-M capacitive level sensor family. Level de-

tection even f or media with a low or no water content such as syrup, f ruit concentrate, al cohols

and oils with a dielectric constant ε

The switching threshold, hysteresis and t ime delay parameters can be set f or the sensor.

· Processor: min. 1 GHz CPU

· Free hard disk: min. 10 MB (with .NET already install ed)

· Windows Install er: 3.1

· .NET-Version: 4.0 install ed

· USB: free USB port USB 2.0

· Other: CD-ROM Drive f or program installation

· Access rights: Administrator f or installation

Sensor

· NCS-M with sensor f irmware version 3.1 or later

Conformity with Standards

The basic saf ety and health requirements are met through f ulf illment of :

· 2014/ 30/ EU Electromagnetic Compatibility

· 1935/ 2004/ EU Consumer Goods Ordinance

· Directive (EU) 10/ 2011 (Articles in Contact with Food)

· EN 61000-6-2:2005 (Interf erence Immunity)

· EN 61000-6-4:2007 + A1:2011 (Interf erence Emissions)

The electrical connections may only be perf ormed by persons with the necessary technical

skills and by persons with the necessary authorization f rom the operator. The power supply and

the control circuit inputs and outputs must be prof essionally wired. The current state-of -the-

art of electrical connections must be adhered to.

The following details must be noted in particular:

All persons involved with the setup, commissioning, operation, service and maintenance

of the sensor must be suitably qualif ied.

This operating manual must be f ollowed closely. The operator must ensure that the per-

sonnel has read and f ull y understood the operating manual.

All work must be perf ormed with utmost care and may only be executed by authorized and

trained personnel. The applicable national regulations regarding opening and repairing of

devices must be complied with.

We recommend storing the operating manual near the measuring device in an easily ac-

cessible location.

The sensor must be de-energized prior to alterations and maintenance

The working area of the operator must of f er enough space to minimize the risk of injury.

The technical data specif ied in the operating manual and on the type label must be noted.
