PBM2 Powered Bass Module with Priority Auto-Sensing

Congratulations on your new Atlantic Technology PBM2. e PBM2 features some in-

novative features not typically found on a powered subwoofer. Please read this set up

guide to be sure of trouble free operation.

Priority Auto-Sensing (PAS) and Source Selection

e PBM2 has a Priority Auto-sensing circuit that will allow you hands-free operation.

It works by looking for a signal on the "A" or "priority" input. Any time there is audio

going to the A input the PBM2 will select that input. In addition the PBM2 has a delay

before switching from the "A" input to the "B" input. is is to ensure the PBM2 does

not switch during loading screens, quiet passages during films, any delays in streaming

content or the quiet pause before a commercial break. e delay is approximately 15-20

seconds long.

If you want to use the "B" input, you should either mute or turn oﬀ the device plugged

into the "A" input.

If you are sending audio to the "B" input and you wish to switch to the "A" input simply

unmute or turn on the second audio device. e PBM2 will instantly switch back to the

"A" input.

Controlling the Volume Level

To further simplify operation the PBM2 does not have a main volume control. Instead

you can use the TV or mobile device volume control.

Bass and Treble

e PBM2 has a bass volume control and a high frequency level control. We realize not

every room will sound the same and not every person has the same taste in how their

system sounds. To balance the bass first use a good music source. Now turn the volume

on the mobile device or TV up to slightly above your normal listening levels. Now use

the Bass knob on the back of the PBM2 to increase or lower the bass from the subwoofer.

Now you can turn down the volume using the TV remote or your phone/tablet.

e high frequency level control allows you to adjust the treble of your le and right

speakers. e control will alter the output from about 10k up. You can increase or de-

crease the treble by as much as 5db.

Speaker Output

In addition to the 130 watt subwoofer amp, the PBM2 also features a two channel 40w

amp to power a pair of speakers like the LCR2 or LCR3. ese speakers should have an

impedance of no less than 4 ohms.

Blue Tooth

e PBM2 also includes an optional BTR Bluetooth receiver. e amp features a con-

venient 5v USB connection for the BTR. Do not use this to charge mobile devices or

connect to a computer as damage may result to one or more device.

To use the BTR simply plug the BTR into the PBM2 amp and use the supplied right

angle 3.5mm to 3.5mm connection. e device should appear as "Atlantic Tech BTR"

in the pair menus on your mobile device.
