Press the retaining fastener through the heatsink fins, laterally . The spring

end will compress allowing it to fit through the hole.
Use a small hand tool such as a flathead screwdriver.

Then, pull the fastener along with the Diffuser Lens and tether free from

the Light Head.

The Diffuser Lens can be placed between the two most distal heatsink
fins for a temporary holding place when adjusting from Area to Spot, to
360° with the Scene Cap, or during routine maintenance.
FOR RE-INSTALLATION: Repeat steps 1–2 in reverse order. Make sure that
the centerline of the loop at the end of the tether is placed between the two
most distal fins and aligned with the hole when inserting the fastener.
