PREPARATION

TOOLS NEEDED

• (1) Drill with 3/8",

1) 1-1/2" hole saw (Front access platform kits)

• (1) Protective eyewear

• (1) Metal cutting tool

• (1) Tape measure or ruler

• (1) Metal grinding tool

1. INSTALLING BRACKET FOR RATCHET MOUNT

A. Set end cap in place on box and check fit at corners. Field cut notch at corner of end

cap as shown to clear bolt and corner gusset on box or drill 9/16" hole for bolt to pass

through. (Dashed line indicates area of end cap to be field cut).

B. Drill 5/16" hole for carriage bolt to fasten this part of end cap to box. Use 5/16" x 1-1/2"

carriage bolt, then place two 3/8" flat washers under cap (to serve as spacers) and from

inside of box, add flat washer, lock washer and fasten tight with nut. Repeat at each

corner of both caps.

C. Position special bracket level against inner frame corner of grain bag loader. In line

with existing bracket holes, mark 2 hole locations for base of bracket and one location for

side of bracket on grain bag loader frame.

D. Mount special bracket to box as shown. Drill two 3/8" holes on side at marked

locations. Secure with (2) 3/8" x 1-1/2" carriage bolts with flat washers, lock washers and

nuts.

E. Drill one 3/8" hole at marked location. Secure special bracket with 3/8" x 1" hex bolt,

flat washer, lock washer and nut.

F. Mount cable tension ratchet onto special bracket as shown then fasten with 3/8" self

threading bolts and 3/8" hex nuts.

G. Repeat D through F to mount opposite special bracket at rear of box.

NOTE: To change special bracket

orientation remove (2) 3/8" x 1" carriage

bolts and (2) 3/8" hex nuts, move side

bracket to opposite position and then

reinstall bolts and nuts.
