Floor Protector
If the stove is to be installed on a combustible floor, it must be placed on an approved

F). In the
US, the floor protector must extend 8" beyond each side of the flue loading and ash
removal opening and 16" to the front. In Canada, the floor protector must extend 8"
(200mm) beyond each side and the back of the appliance and 18" (450mm) to the
front.
In a rear vent installation the floor protection must also extend under the stovepipe and
a minimum of 2" (50mm) beyond either side of the pipe.
