Display of Mean, Maximum
and Minimum Values
Additionally, the gauge can display the mean, maximum,
and minimum value of the readings stored in the presently
used block. The gauge has to be switched on and be work-
ing in the Memory Mode. Press the lower left button C
shortly, while the gauge is lifted off the surface. The display
will show the sign "Ae" (average) and the average value in
µm, mm or mil alternating with "N" showing the number of
readings stored in this block. E.g. Ae 265 µm alternating
with N 0044 means, that in the active block the average
value is 265 µm and has been calculated out of 44 readings
stored in this block.
In order to display the maximum reading of the active block,
press the lower left button C again. The display will show
the sign and the maximum reading. When pressing this
button again the minimum reading of the active block is
displayed.
If no readings have been stored in the active block, it is not
possible to calculate statistical values. Then the display will
read "Ae no" alternating with "N 000".
The display of the mean-, minimum-, and maximum values
is not segregated into Fe and NFe measurements.
Deleting Stored Readings
or Blocks
The QNix® 7500 allows to delete the last reading in the
memory as well as the entire memory. The procedure is as
follows:
Set the gauge to the Memory Mode. Then press the lower
left button C for at least 3 seconds while the gauge is lifted
off the surface. This function allows the user to eliminate er-
ratic readings that would falsify the statistics.
If all readings in a block are already deleted, the next delet-
ing process will eliminate the block as such, and the last
reading in the previous block will be displayed.
The entire memory content can be deleted by keeping the
button pressed for another 3 seconds after the last reading
has been deleted. The display shows "dEL" and "ALL" (al-
ternating) and a "beep" sounds. If the button is not released
within these 3 seconds, the entire memory content will be
deleted.
Deleting of the entire memory content can also be per-
formed with our optionally available software.
Processing of Stored
Values in the Computer
The built-in interface enables the gauge to process the
measured data statistically. The socket of the interface is
located at the bottom of the housing and is covered by the
lid of the battery compartment to prevent spoiling of the
socket. A software for statistical evaluation on your comput-
er is also available.

Online-Measurements
All measurements of the QNix® 7500 or QNix® 7500 M
can be displayed online on the computer monitor.
The procedure is as follows:
Connect the probe with the gauge using the adapter cable.
The gauge itself has to be connected to the computer via
the interface cable. Each reading or other process, such as
calculation of mean, maximum, and minimum value, is di-
rectly displayed on the computer monitor. If the gauge
QNix® 7500 M is set to the Memory Mode, all readings will
additionally be stored so that the data can be processed
later.
If the last reading in the gauge is deleted, the monitor will
show the information "DELETED".

Scope of Supply
The electronic coating thickness gauge QNix® 7500 or
QNix® 7500 M is delivered with a carrying case containing
(as option) an integrated Fe or NFe probe, together with the
respective zero plate, a 9V alkaline battery and the Instruc-
tion Manual.
