module and rotate the module
from side to side with slight
pressure.
9. Remove the clamp holder
and turn over and relocate to
sharpen the other side of the
drill bit and repeat 8.
10. Remove the clamp holder
and check the edge of the
both flutes of the drill bit,
they should be equal, if not
repeat the setting of the drill
bit in the clamp and repeat
sharpening process.
11. Switch the power unit OFF,
wait until grinding wheels
has stopped remove module.
Maintenance
WARNING.
Always ensure that the tool is switched off and
the plug is removed from the power point before making any
adjustments or maintenance procedures.
Replacing the sharpening stone
Prior to changing a stone, ensure the tool is switched off
and the power plug is removed from the socket.
The spindle has a left hand thread, use a flat blade
screwdriver to hold the shaft still and use a spanner to turn
the nut in a clockwise direction.
When refitting the sharpening stone hold the shaft and turn
the nut in anti clockwise direction until tight.
Power cord maintenance
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer
or its service agent.
Cleaning
1. Keep the outside of the sharpener/grinder clean by
brushing sharpening dust and dirt away from all areas
where the dust tends to build up.
2. Regularly wipe down the grinder with a soft damp cloth.
A mild detergent can also be used.
Never use caustic agents, petrol based cleaners,
alcohol or any other cleaning agents. Do not wet down
the grinder.
CAUTION.
Do not use cleaning agents to clean the
plastic parts of the tool. A mild detergent on a damp
cloth is recommended.
General inspection
Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight.
They may vibrate loose over time.
