The transceiver will remain in the channel where the signal has been received until the signal
disappears. After the signal disappears, the transceiver will remain in the channel for an additional 5
seconds. If a signal is received again during this time, the transceiver will continue in the channel.
Scan procedure:
In to scan mode, press the [CH+] key to increase, press the [CH-] key to decrease. When a matching
signal is received, the transceiver stops scanning and the status LED will lights green.
When the signal disappears, the transceiver will resume scanning and the status LED will blink
green.
To turn OFF the scan function, you must turn the transceiver OFF and ON again.
9.4.- BUSY CHANNEL LOCKOUT (BCL):
The busy channel lockout function avoids performing a transmission while a valid signal is being
received, can be configured by programming software, for more information consults your
salesperson.
If no matching signal is received, the function will not be turn ON. The QT/DQT busy channel
lockout is also available on this transceiver. In this case only this function will be turn ON when
received a signal matched with QT/DQT signaling that programmed into your transceiver.
9.5.- VOX FUNCTION:
The transmitting voice operated function (VOX) can be configured by the programming software,
for more information, consult your salesperson.
You can program a level from 1 to 9. The higher setting level is the greater sensitivity.
If the transceiver returns to receiving mode right after transmission, the rear of the communication
may not be properly transmitted, it can be avoided by setting VOX delay.
9.6.- TIME-OUT TIMER (TOT):
This function prevents prolonged transmissions. Your salesperson can program to a maximum of 10
minutes. The transceiver will turn OFF automatically the transmission once the programmed time
has elapsed, a warning tone sound. Release the [PTT] to turn OFF the warning tone. The warning
tone can be programmed from 0 to 10 seconds. The transceiver will sound a beep to remind at the
user that the time is out shortly.
9.7.- QT/DQT SIGNALING:
Your salesperson can program QT/DQT signaling on your transceiver by means programming
software.
When a channel with QT/DQT signaling is programmed, only signals received with the same
signaling as the one programmed on your transceiver will open the squelch.
For this same reason, only the transceivers that have their same QT/DQT signaling may receive
their communication. If the transceivers of your group are programmed with different signals, the
other users will not hear your transmission.
9.8.- POWER SAVE FUNCTION:
Program this function to reduce battery consumption. For more information, consult with your
salesperson.
