.... Quick Start – Creating the radio link

Note: without correctly established radio link the receiver will work in Alarm mode, the room will be heated constantly to 30 %.

1. On the transmitter, activate the Learn Mode:

For INSTAT+ 868-r

Details see manual item 2.1

In AUTO Mode press the < and > buttons

simultaneously for 3 seconds,

2. On receiver, activating the Learn Mode:

For INSTAT 868-a4 and -a6

For the channel to be learned, press the

related button.

E.g. for channel 1 press the button close to it briefly.

The red lamp will switch on and a tone can be heard

If the lamp at the receiver is switched off and the tone

stops, the radio link is established (after ~30 sec)

For INSTAT 868-a8U

Details see manual item 5.1

3. Cancelling Learn Mode on the Transmitter:

For INSTAT+ 868-r

press button > to terminate Learn Mode

press buttons < and > simultaneously

for 3 seconds in order to activate AUTO

4. Testing the radio link:

For INSTAT+ 868-r

In AUTO Mode press the < and +

buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds,

press button > until option 9 is displayed

press button + and select OFF (to

terminate use buttons < and + as

described above)

Additional notes:

For controllers without radio clock (INSTAT 868-r)

Clock and day of the week should also be adjusted, see manual item 2.5 (short description).

If necessary modify events and temperatures, see in manual table I, II and controller features table III.

For receivers INSTAT 868-a8U

If necessary: adjust clock see manual "Time and Date setting"

modify program see manual "Programming"

For INSTAT 868-r/rd

5 °, after ~30 sec the red lamp at the receiver will switch off

(the valve protection should be switched off

With button Y, move cursor to k

Press and hold down button b and additionally

press button Y briefly.

The display reads xx:x(1) (x = any figure)

Change fourth digit to xx:x(0) (= valve protection off)
