How to use the butter dish
Soak the lid in cold water 30 minutes before
using. The water evaporation will keep the
butter cool.
Cleaning
Soak the terracotta lid in warm water
and clean with a dish brush. Do not use
washing up detergent on the lid since clay
is a porous material and will soak up the
detergent.
The dish and the lid should be cleaned and
dried completely before storing, with the
lid alongside. Make sure air can circulate to
avoid moisture and mould.
After use the butter dish lid might assume
a darker shade. This does not impair the
quality of the dish in any way but is simply
due to the fact that it is made of a natural
material.
