NOTE – Every six months, take your wheelchair to a qualified dealer for a
thorough inspection and servicing. Regular maintenance will reveal loose
or worn parts and enhance the smooth operation of your wheelchair.
To operate properly and safely, your wheelchair must be cared for just
like any other vehicle. Routine care will extend the life and efficiency of
your wheelchair.
Initial adjustments should be made to suit personal body structure
and preference.
Cleaning & Disinfecting
To disinfect and clean your new Airgo wheelchair, particularly when
multipatient use is planned, use an antibacterial hard surface disinfectant
that is non-corrosive. We recommend an environmentally friendly cleaner
like PureGreen24 since its naturally occurring active ingredients, silver
ions and citric acid, are strong enough to kill bacteria including MRSA.
It is also EPA registered for use on children's toys in your home. Visit
www.puregreen24.com for more information. Alternatively, most methanol
based disinfectants are effective.
In general, you'll be required to spray on your desired disinfectant and let it
sit for at least 30 seconds (depending on the organism desired eliminated)
before wiping clean with a soft cloth or towel. Please take caution to read all
instructions before using your desired disinfectant as individual directions
may vary.
