If the Hedge Trimmer does not switch off auto-

matically, there is a risk of lacerations.
V Never override the safety devices (e.g. by
strapping down one of the start buttons).
Starting the Hedge Trimmer :
The hedge trimmer is fitted with a two-handed safety device (2 start
buttons) to prevent the unit from being turned on by accident.
1. Remove the protective cover

Switching the Hedge Trimmer off :
1. Release the two start buttons
2. Slide the protective cover
The hedge trimmer must be stored out of the reach of children.
1. Disconnect the mains plug.
2. Clean the hedge trimmer (see 5. Maintenance) and slide the

protective cover
3. Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, frost free place.
The product must not be added to normal household waste. It
must be disposed of in line with local environmental regulations.
v Important : Make sure that the unit is disposed of via your
municipal recycling collection centre.
