General setup
IMPORTANT NOTE
Most of the illustrations in this User's Guide show the MFC-J470DW.
Memory Storage
Your menu settings are stored permanently,
and, in the event of a power failure, will not be
lost. Temporary settings (for example,
Overseas Mode) will be lost. If you have
chosen Set New Default for your

preferred FAX
and COPY settings, those
settings will not be lost. However, you may
have to reset the date and time.

Automatic Daylight

Saving Time
(MFC models)
You can set the machine to change
automatically for daylight saving time. It will
set itself forward one hour in the Spring and
backward one hour in the Autumn. Make sure
you have set the correct date and time in the
Date & Time setting.

Press Menu.

Press a or b to choose
Initial Setup.
Press OK.
c
Press a or b to choose Date & Time.
Press OK.
d
Press a or b to choose
Auto Daylight.
Press OK.
e
Press a or b to choose Off (or On).
Press OK.
f
Press Stop/Exit.
