Ê Using a screwdriver, turn the locking mechanism clockwise as far as it will
go.
Ê Apply a small amount of thermal paste (ca. 3 mm diameter) to the upper side
of the new processor.
Ê Ensure a thin and even distribution of the thermal paste.
Ê Carefully place the heat sink onto the processor socket.
Ê Carefully set the four screws without tilting onto the bottom plate.
Ê Fix the screws somewhat counterclockwise.
Ê Ensure the correct position of the heat sink and fix the screws.
Ê Reinstall the air duct.
Ê Close the server and connect all power plugs (for a detailed description see
the Options Guide).
