Troubleshooting

These are some common, easy-to-solve issues that may pop up during installation:

Cleaning

The Talos bill validator will not need to be cleaned as often as magnetic sensing bill acceptors. If cleaning is required, use a soft cloth moistened with a mild, non-

abrasive detergent.

Compliance

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (a) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (b) this device must accept any interference

received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

If this happens

Try

Check Harnesses: Cables may be

loose, not properly connected or pins

may be bent

The unit will not power

Check Source Voltage: Ensure that

power is being supplied to the bill

validator.

Ensure the unit has been enabled, then

check:

The unit has power, but

• Vending Machine Controller

will not accept a bill

• Coin manager and coin levels

• Inventory levels

• The door is locked properly
