1. GETTING STARTED

1.1 Register

Please register all serial numbers for your B80 MOTHERSHIP chassis, all Daughter Cards,

and BP-300.

You must register to activate your warranty! Please visit: www.burlaudio.com/register.

1.2 Check Jumper Settings On BMB1

The B80 MOTHERSHIP is fully modular, accommodating a wide variety of I/O needs. Jumper

settings on the BMB1 Motherboard allow for different I/O routing possibilities.

Find H6 on the BMB1 Motherboard, as shown in Image 1 below.

Use Examples A through D (on pages 2 and 3) to determine which setting to use based

on your configuration.

See Channel Mapping for Jumper Settings charts on page 4.

Jumper positions 1 and 2 determine INPUT mapping. 4 channels per slot: slot one is for

channels 1-4, slot 2 is 5-8, etc.

(Configurations possible: 4 Ch. per slot / 8 Ch. per slot / 8 and 4 Ch. per slot)

Jumper positions 3 and 4 determine OUTPUT mapping.

(Output can start in slots 3, 5 & 7)

Jumper positions 5, 6 and 7 have no function.

(Jumpers can be stored here for safekeeping when not in use)

Jumper 8 is for use with the B16 MOTHERSHIP chassis, and should not be used with

the B80 MOTHERSHIP chassis.

is highlighted. In this example, jumpers are on 6 and 7.
