❒ If you print on rough grained paper, the print image may be blurred.

❒ You can use A3 (297 × 420 mm) or 11" × 17" paper. However, use the Reduce

function to ensure that the entire image is printed. This is because the maxi-

mum print areas are as follows:

• Metric version: 290 × 410 mm (11.4" × 16.1")

• Inch version: 11.4" × 16.5" (290 × 420 mm)

❒ When you use A3, 11" × 17", or 209.3 g/m

speed to 1, 2, or 3 at the machine.

❒ Flatten the paper curl before placing the paper onto the LCIT. When you can-

not flatten the paper curl, load the paper with the curl either face up or face

down as shown below. If paper is curled, it may stick to the drum resulting

in dirty prints.

Note

❒ When storing paper, the following precautions should always be taken:

• Do not store paper where it will be exposed to direct sunlight.

• Avoid storing paper in humid (greater than 70%) areas.

• Store on a flat surface.

❒ Keep open reams of paper in the package and store as you would unopened

paper.
