The included Easy Computer Sync software supports files transfers in Windows 8.1
and 10 but the Microsoft Windows Easy Transfer does not support Windows 8.1 or 10.
Can I transfer programs?
No, you can only transfer files and settings. Programs have to be reinstalled.
Can I use this cable between a computer and an external hard drive?
The Easy Computer Sync software only works with computer with a Windows
operating system. However, the Microsoft Windows Easy Transfer software supports
connecting to a hard drive.
Can I use this cable with a USB Hub?
Do not use the Easy Transfer Cable with a USB hub. You can use it with an active or
passive USB cable extender.
Can both computers share a monitor?
Yes. Use the 'Control Other Computer' function from the transfer data menu.
How do I uninstall the software?
Find the Easy Computer Sync program from the Control Panel and use the Windows
Add/Remove or Uninstall Programs.
How do I get updates for the software?
The Easy Computer Sync automatically checks for updates unless the defaults are
changed. Check for updates manually by going to Start > Programs > Easy Computer
Sync > Get Updates.
How long will file transfers take?
The transfer time can vary depending on the speed of the source hard drive and the
