Configuring the Gigabit Ethernet Interface on the Cisco 7200-I/O-GE+E

The following example configures the Gigabit Ethernet interface on the Cisco 7200-I/O-GE+E. The

following commands are configured on slot 0, port 0.

Router# configure terminal

Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

Router(config)# interface gigabitethernet 0/0

Router(config-if)# ip address 1.1.1.10 255.255.255.252

Router(config-if)# negotiation auto

Router(config-if)# end

Configuring Autonegotiation on the Cisco 7200-I/O-2FE/E

The following example configures the Fast Ethernet interface on the Cisco 7200-I/O-2FE/E for fully

enabled autonegotiation:

Router# configure terminal

Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

Router(config)# interface fastethernet 0/0

Router(config-if)# duplex auto

Router(config-if)# speed auto
