4. Adjustment method
1) Front mode
a. Input the 50% APL signal to the TLP711.
b. Shut out a R signal, and make a screen cyan.
c. Adjust [WMC] (G-Shade) and [WME] (G-Phase),
and make a screen brightness become uniform.
d. Turn on a R signal and shut out a G signal, and
make a screen magenta.
e. Adjust [WMD] (R-Shade) and [WMF] (R-Phase),
and make a screen brightness become uniform.
f. Turn on a G signal, and make a screen white.
g. Save data, and proceed in the Rear mode. (Write
down these data.)
h. Be returned to 2, if it is imperfect.
2) Rear mode
a. Set up the TLP711 in the Rear mode.
b. Make the [WMC] and [WMD] data which are
the same as Front mode.
c. Lead the [WME] and [WMF] data from the
following equation. (1), (2)
d. Save data, and make it the Front mode.
e. If it is imperfect, adjust it in the method which is
the same as Front mode.
[WME] rear = 60H – [WME] front (1)
[WMF] rear = 60H – [WMF] front (2)
4-2. Camera Section Adjustment
(For TLP711)
< Before Adjustment >
In the most cases, this adjustment will be made after
replacement of electrical parts. If a failure occurs in the
electrical circuit, always locate the failure by using
required instruments, and perform the repairing, replace-
ment and the adjustment. Do not tamper the adjustment
volumes without locating the failure. Some failure may
not need readjustment, so only perform the adjustments
required in practical servicing.
< Equipment Required >
1. Personal computer
IBM PC/AT or equivalent (with Windows 95 sup-
ported)
2. Color video monitor
3. Illumination
Halogen lamp
4. Toshiba camera adjustment chart
Color bar chart
5. Waveform monitor
6. Adjustment screwdriver
Note:
• If illumination unevenness exists on the adjustment
chart, correct adjustment can not be made. So arrange
the illumination equipments to obtain the flat illumi-
nation.
• Always use the adjustment chart free from dirty.
< Initial Setting >
1. Set the chart facing to the camera and adjust the light
position to obtain the even light of the illumination.
