Recording on tape

1 Load the tape for recording into TAPE Il.

2 Set DOLBY NR to the desired position.

e A tape recorded using the DOLBY NR system must be

played back using the same system.

3 Select the program source to be recorded

using the FUNCTION (DEMO) button on

the receiver.

4 Press @ Il.

The deck enters record-standby mode.

5 Press > or ~ to start recording.

6 Play the program source to be recorded.

e The recording level is automatically adjusted.

To stop recording:

Press STOP m.

To stop recording temporarily:

Press @ Hl. To resume recording, press » or ~.

In the rec pause mode or recording mode, input source

cannot be changed.

Inthe rec pause mode or recording mode, the sound field

control, the stereo wide mode, Dolby surround mode,

Dolby pro-Logic, Dolby 3ch Logic and Dynamic SFC do not

function.

During recording with P.BASS, the playback sound is heard

with P.BASS, but not recorded.

In the rec pause or recording mode, ONE TOUCH KARAOKE

cannot be operated.

Copying a tape

The contents of the tape in TAPE | can be copied onto the tape

in TAPE Il.

The tape is copied with the same setting as the played one

regardless of the setting of the DOLBY NR button.

1 Load the recorded tape into TAPE | and

the tape for recording into TAPE II.

e Wind the tape forward past the leader to the stan of the

magnetic coated portion.

® Tape copying should begin in the forward direction ( > ).

e The tape copy mode is canceled when the end of either

of the tapes is reached, so it is advisable to use tapes of

the same length.

2 Set the FUNCTION

(DEMO) button on the

receiver

to TAPE.

3 Press ASES/COPY to start copying.

To stop copying:

Press m.

Both decks will stop simultaneously.
