SUCTION LIFT OR GRAVITY FEED
There are two possible methods of pipework installation.
1. Suction Lift. Used to draw clean water from a pool or well providing the
vertical distance between the foot valve and the pump does not exceed
the 8 metres specified for this pump.
When suction lift is used it is essential
that all connections and hoses are
airtight or the system will not work
effectively.
A foot valve/filter fitted to the lower
end of the suction hose, (as
illustrated), is essential retain water in
the system as the pump is not self
priming.
2. Gravity Feed. Used to draw water.
from a tank above ground.
