cable and follow the steps above to confirm the camera firmware
version.
If the firmware version displayed is "E2500V1.1," the upgrade was
successful. Any other display, "E2500V1.0" for example, indicates that
your computer cannot be used to upgrade camera firmware. In this case
you will need to take your camera to the nearest Nikon-authorized
service center to upgrade the firmware.
2. Compatibility problems may exist between the uploader and certain
computers, making normal communication with the Coolpix 2500
impossible.
When the computer is unable to communicate with the camera, the
upgrade will stop and start repeatedly. In extreme cases, this process of
interruption and resumption may repeat indefinitely. Should this occur,
press the "Option," "Command" and "Esc" keys (on the Macintosh) or
"Ctrl", "Alt" and "Delete" keys (Windows) simultaneously to force the
program to quit. Restart your computer.
If this problem occurs, your computer cannot be used to upgrade camera
firmware. To upgrade the firmware, you will need to take your camera to
the nearest Nikon-authorized service center.
