Using t he D PC-‐4EZ

PRESET M ODES:

The D PC-‐4EZ h as t he a bility t o e ngage m ultiple b ypass l oops a nd a M IDI p rogram w ith a

single t ap. T his c ollection o f s ettings i s c alled a " preset." I f y ou p refer t o c ontrol y our l oops

manually, t he D PC-‐4EZ m ay b e s et t o s tart u p i n t he m anual m ode a nd t he p reset m odes m ay

be s afely i gnored.

The D PC-‐4EZ h as t hree p resets p er b ank, w ith f our b anks f or a t otal o f t welve ( 12) p resets

accessible f rom t he D PC-‐4EZ i tself. 1 28 p resets m ay b e s aved a nd a ccessed b y u sing a n

external M IDI c ontroller.

The c urrent p reset b ank m ay b e s elected b y t apping b utton B 4 t o c ycle t hrough t he r ed,

green, b lue, o r v iolet m odes.

To s elect a p reset, p ress a ny s elect b utton B 1-‐B3 w hile t he D PC-‐4EZ i s i n t he r ed, g reen,

blue, o r v iolet p reset m ode. P ressing t he c urrently s elected p reset p uts t he D PC-‐4EZ i nto i ts

bypass s tate. T he b ypass s tate m ay b e s et u p a s a n a dditional p reset o r " favorite" s ound.

MANUAL M ODE:

To e nter m anual m ode, s imply h old t he b ank b utton ( B4) u ntil i ts L ED t urns e ither O FF o r

WHITE. T ap b uttons 1 -‐4 t o s elect t he l oops. T he L ED c olors m atch t he l oop j ack c olors –

Loop 1 b lue, L oop 2 g reen, L oop 3 r ed, a nd L oop 4 i s w hite.

To s ave t he c urrently s elected l oops t o a p reset, p ress-‐hold B 3 t o s tore. T he b ank L ED w ill

begin f lashing r ed. T ap B 4 t o s elect t he d estination b ank ( red, g reen, b lue, o r v iolet.) O nce

the b ank h as b een s elected, p ress-‐hold a ny b utton B 1-‐B3 t o s ave t he p reset t o t hat l ocation.

Tapping B 1 w hile t he b ank L ED i s f lashing s ets t he l oop s tatus t o " don't c are." I n t his m ode,

selecting t his p reset w ill n ot c hange t he s tatus o f t he l oops. T his c an b e u sed t o s end a M IDI

change t o a c onnected d evice w ithout a ffecting t he n on-‐MIDI p edals. T he D PC-‐4EZ w ill

indicate " don't c are" m ode b y f lashing t he b lue L ED a bove B 1. S ave t he p reset w hile t he L ED

is f lashing t o a ssign " don't c are" t o t hat l ocation.

If a M IDI c ontroller i s c onnected t o t he D PC-‐4EZ M IDI i nput, t he D PC-‐4EZ c an " learn" a n

incoming M IDI p rogram c hange t o s ave a p reset. E nable t he l oops f or t he p reset, t hen h old

B3 t o e nter s tore m ode. O ptionally, t ap B 1 t o a ssign " don't c are" i f d esired, a nd t hen s end a

MIDI p rogram c hange f rom y our M IDI c ontroller. T he D PC-‐4EZ w ill f lash t o i ndicate t he

preset h as b een s aved. S ending M IDI p rogram c hange 0 w ill s et t he " bypass" p reset.
