Because of precision machining, the Fitness Gear Ultimate Smith 2 uses several different
lengths of bolts Be careful to use the right length of boll called (Or at each step of assembly.
Refer to the illustration and sizmg charts prowded

Some parts in the following diagrams have been assembled on the unit prior to
shipment. They are shown in the drawings for reference only in the event replacement
parts are needed.
STEP # 1 Base Rail Assembly

Attach the left and right base rails (1 & 3) to the loot plate (5) using two backing plates (40). lour bolts
(36), eight washers (18) and four nuts (20). HAND TlGHTEN the bolts at this time

Tlghten the bolts and nuts used for assembly in previous steps at this time.
